A TREE is blocking a lane on the M40 this morning.

The obstruction has occurred on the roundabout at junction 4 Handy Cross, High Wycombe.

Traffic reports say the tree is leaning across the hard shoulder, partially into lane one, going northbound towards Stokenchurch.

No major delays are reported.

At about 11am the tree was cleared from the road.

Because it was barely in the lane. It was more like a branch blocking the hard sholder. Hardly newsworthy.

Do the BFP ever take pictures of anything relevant? No, that would be approaching public service - something they're clearly not set up to do. Instead they rely on their extensive stock library of half fire engines, policemen with their backs turned and "Do Not Cross" tape. Pretty much matches the calibre of the reporting itself.
