Thug threatens to kill 87-year-old war hero

AN 87-YEAR-OLD war hero has spoken of the terrifying moment a man held a screwdriver to his chest and threatened to kill him in his own home.
Mervyn Bowen, who fought in the Second World War, was watching television at around 8.10pm on March 1 when he was attacked in the living room of his Abbey Barn Road home.
But the great-grandfather managed to trap the attacker in the kitchen of his home and escape.
The attacker managed to escape via the rear door and through the back garden.
Police have now launched a public appeal to bring the attacker to justice.

The USA would be very unforgiving for this common criminal that he might even get a manslaughter charge

As appalling as it is that any 87 year-old would be threatened like that, having armchair Littlejohns venting their bile-filled spleens on here does nothing to improve the situation..
