Visitors enjoy tour of animal centre

MORE than 200 visitors turned up to the Blue Cross Animal Adoption Centre in Lewknor to enjoy a tour of the facilities at an open day last Sunday.

The charity, which aims to re-house both cats and dogs, also managed to raise £1,400 to help continue its work.

Guests, including Wycombe District Councillor Doug Anson MBE, were taken on a tour of the adoption centre as well as getting the chance to watch the novelty dog show.

Manager Julie Stone said: "The open day helps to raise awareness and to promote the work we do. It was a great success and the weather was very nice it was a lovely family day out. We were overwhelmed by everyone's support."
