George and the spider

MRS Edie Brown, from Chesham, sent in this picture of George.

She said: "My daughter came in one day and said mum sit down, close your eyes and open your hands' and she put George into my hands. He was nine weeks old and now he's nine years old and the most gorgeous pet you could ever have.

"My daughter also purchased this yellow spider soft toy some months ago and we thought it would suit him for a hat.

"My husband takes him out in the fields and wood near where we live and George always manages to find something like a filthy tennis ball or something horrible to carry home. Trust a springer spaniel to be a bad boy."
