Residents are being asked to have their say on potential plans to build a community building in the Queen Elizabeth II Playing Field, in High Wycombe.

Wycombe District Council has launched a survey to find out the views of residents in the town as they look at possibly building on the field off Shelly Road.

WDC say any room would have to be fairly small in size and would be located between the existing block of changing rooms and the car park.

WDC cabinet member for community, Cllr Julia Adey, said: “The Queen Elizabeth II Playing Field is an important open space and, as with all the fields and open spaces the council owns and manages, we are looking at how we can make it even better.

“I would encourage everyone who uses the playing field to complete our survey and tell us whether they want a community room there and, if so, what facilities the room should provide residents and community groups.”

The survey takes about five minutes and the results will be used to decide if a building is needed, and, if so, what it should cater for.
