Junior swimming numbers are up by 82 per cent and adult swimming 60 per cent up.

The sports hall has seen bookings for squash go up by 36 per cent .and people joining aerobics classes up by nearly a quarter (23 per cent) over last year’s figures.

Wycombe District Council cabinet member for community, Cllr Julia Adey, said: “I’m thrilled to find out that so many people have been up to see what’s on offer at the new leisure.

“Whether you’re young or old, a beginner or very advanced in a sport, this centre has something for you.”
