GRITTING is Buckinghamshire is to be probed by a council watchdog committee after complaints from residents.
Buckinghamshire County Council’s overview and scrutiny commissioning committee will look at whether lessons can be learned.
Road bosses say they have done all they can in face of dwindling stocks.
But many residents have been fiercely critical of the council’s gritting operations since snow first came in mid December.
Yet Committee chairman Councillor Trevor Eagleton said: “I don’t think we are going to find any failings.
“I think we have done a very good job but I think it is important to make public what our programme for winter maintenance is.”
The committee will meet on Thursday January 26 at 2pm County Hall, Aylesbury at 2pm. The public are welcome to attend.
