TEAMS from Longridge Boating Centre claimed victory at the Bounty Raft Race this afternoon.
Two teams from the youth development activity centre in Marlow took first and second place in the mad-cap race along the River Thames.
Daniel Mee, from the second place Longridge team, said: "It was neck and neck most of the way, and then they uped the tempo as they went around the bridge pillar."
A total of fifteen teams tried their chances building rafts around beer barrels from the Bounty pub in Bourne End in the hour before the starting whistle at 4pm.
The race saw teams dress as Baywatch lifeguards, schoolgirls, mexicans, builders, sailors, soldiers, and Fireflies.
The race and fun day aimed to raise £5,000 for Mama Amelia orphanage in South Africa.
