Your readers will be aware of the issues raised by members of the public at the Wycombe District Council meeting on 15 October.

This was a chance for the public to speak and for us and our council colleagues to listen.

We were invited back on November 12 to address some of the issues raised, including confusion about urgent care services in Wycombe and concerns about the future of Wycombe Hospital. This was an excellent opportunity to explain the wide range of first class services available in Wycombe Hospital and to describe what is available in an emergency. Unfortunately, neither the media nor members of the public were present to hear this. For those of your readers who are interested, we have published our presentation on our website, and it is available here: http://www.chilternccg.nhs.uk/practices/bpcc/urgent-care-presentation.pptx Patient experience is right at the heart of quality improvement. So I would like to thank the public for sharing their experiences with us and ask them to continue to do so. We have a Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) and a complaints team, and all our hospitals and health providers have similar services. There is Healthwatch and the independent advocacy service Support Empower Advocate Promote (SEAP). All the contact details for these services are on our website www.chilternccg.nhs.uk under “contact us”.

Additionally we have recently launched a new website portal to make it easier for us to keep people informed of developments and changes in services. We would like people to register to receive information at www.letstalkhealth bucks.nhs.uk We are also now reviewing our primary care and out-of-hours services across the county and are keen to hear your views and suggestions of how these can be improved.

We held a series of listening events and you can share your views online at www.
