Coach re-enactment

THIS is Chorley Road, West Wycombe, in the year that US engineer Paul Galvin invented the car radio and one of the world's most famous names in motor racing was launched by Enzo Ferrari.

The photo, looking north-east, shows a re-enactment in 1929 of the London to Oxford stage-coach, drawn by five horses, with the school in the background.

Do you recognise anyone in the photo? Did any of your friends or family live in the street at the time? Maybe a grandparent or great aunt or uncle took part in the coach ride?

Anyone with information should call Mike Dewey on 01494 755105 or 01628 525207.
