In 1938 a much faster press was installed

IN 1938, a much larger and more modern rotary press was installed which was able to print more than 30,000 copies per hour.

There was a substantial enlargement of premises and increase in staff in 1939 and the newspaper was able to print 32-page issues until the Second World War brought a return to paper rationing.
