I have the solution to Eden's problems

WE'VE been moaning about the Eden centre in High Wycombe again, I see - mainly about parking costs, lack of disabled parking spaces, traffic problems and lastly the cold wind-blown Eden itself.

I have the solution for all but the cold - we'll have to hope for a warm summer (take note, designer, we're in England not Spain). All the other problems can be solved by one thing - another park & ride.

If this was built along the A40 (for commuters from Beaconsfield, Flackwell Heath, Loudwater, Chalfonts, Uxbridge, Hazlemere, Penn and so on), possibly behind Currys, this would make a considerable difference to the town's traffic.

It would also help the workforce of the shops etc as parking eats away at their wage and it would be cheaper for them, and as I see there are not many buses after the shops close at 8pm.

Give us a park & ride for approximately £1.50 like Oxford and Bath do - they've got less traffic because of theirs.

We already have the bus lane to cope and actually it would be good to see it used more efficiently than now - every 15 minutes hopefully.

When/if the park & ride is built the Eden car park could help our disabled shoppers (as they're right in complaining about paying) they could be given the first floor in the Eden car park for free - the park & ride would allow space for this facility.

Here's a chance to make things better for a lot of people.

Afraid the current Tory controlled council dont have the vison to deliver
All that they want is to say -- lets cut costs and its not our responsibility

I have the solution to Eden's problems
The new-fangled complex has too many problems to be put right:

- People have been trapped in the lifts.
- The roof doesn’t cover all the shopping mall.
- The wind blows through because there are no doors.
- Yobbos run through “doing a lap”.
- Water runs in down the alley way by the department store because the complex is below surrounding ground level.
- The shops don’t sell what the people want.
- The water feature keeps breaking.
- Finally (to cap it all) today the complex was on FIRE!

I fear it will take more than a Park & Ride to solve the problems of the complex.

There is only one solution to the problem of the complex and that is to knock it down and when the rubble is cleared build a proper shopping complex on the site.
