Stop the drunks in town

I'D LIKE to bring to the attention of the council, police, community police or even Eden's security, the amount of drunks now hanging around by the bus station at the taxi rank in High Wycombe.

It started with one or two and today when I went to get a taxi there were ten of them.

They scratch about in the dirt there looking for cigarette ends and the amount of those is disgusting, along with all the rubbish as well.

The wall is filthy from god knows what, the pavement is in the same state. It could be food, blood or urine stains.

The other day one of them was asleep on the pavement and another asleep on the wall with his dog by his side.

I use the taxi rank three days a week and find it very intimidating when they are all sitting or standing there especially if there is no taxi waiting.

I would normally sit on the wall with my shopping but not now.

Come on whoever is in charge and move them on.

I thought it was a crime to drink alcohol in public?

Give them a break, no one cares for them anymore and they have fallen on hard times. It is tough being a member of Labour.

I agree with you julie, If they are not there then they are staggering about further down Desborough Road. I always cross the road to avoid them as they are intimidating!

yes I wonder where the cigar puffing tory councellors relax and drink? us ordinary people have to suffer sitting outside a pub (even in the rain)-- so if drinks are cheaper in off licenses etc. who can blame them for drinking around the town?
I can remember sitting in a pub smoking and drinking and making friends etc. You can't now!!! and NO I AM NOT an OAP!!
