Residents will finally be asked for their views on plans to introduce parking restrictions in Great Missenden after a consultation was launched.

Proposals to introduce a number of residents-only areas and other restrictions in the village were first given funding approval by Buckinghamshire County Council more than 18 months ago - having been suggested as long ago as 2009.

Reviews of safety concerns caused delays to a formal consultation period being carried out by transport bosses.

But it has now been officially launched, with residents being invited to have their say on the proposals before January 21.

If given approval, 'no waiting' restrictions would be introduced on roads around the Misbourne School and Chiltern Manor Park and a residents only permit scheme brought in The Square and Aylesbury Road.

Copies of the plans in full are available to view at Great Missenden Library and at County Hall and on the county council website at https://democracy.buckscc.gov.uk/mgconsultationlistdisplay.aspx?bcr=1.

Submissions should be posted to County Hall marked for the attention of Trish Eastham, or by emailing peastham@buckscc.gov.uk.
