A school in Great Missenden is celebrating after receiving their latest inspection results.

Gateway School, in High Street, got a glowing report after the inspection by the Independent Schools Inspectorate in March.

According to the report, 'The quality of the pupils’ achievement and learning is excellent' and 'The breadth and variety of the curriculum makes a significant contribution to the lives of the pupils at the school.'

Inspectors also noted that 'Children in the Early Years Foundation Stage make outstanding progress, including in their literacy and numeracy skills'

The report also praised teaching staff for being 'active in seeking ways to constantly enhance the scope and positive impact of the curriculum on their pupils.'

Mrs Sue La Farge, headteacher, said: "We are thrilled with the results of our latest ISI inspection, which is a true testament to the commitment and enthusiasm of all our staff and pupils.

"We are committed to working in partnership with parents to create a nurturing and stimulating educational environment for every child and I am delighted that this is reflected in the inspectors’ comments.”
