An independent coffee shop on the High Street in Great Missenden has been put up for sale just five months after a branch of Costa moved in next door.
Coffee Approach is listed for sale on the Daltons Business website with a leasehold price of £165,000 and an annual turnover of £260,000.
Kevin Galvin, who has run Coffee Approach for two and a half years, had planned to turn the vacant space next door to the café into an Italian restaurant back in April 2015, but was beaten to it by the national chain.
Mr Galvin described the move as a “kick in the teeth” back in April but did admit “competition is healthy”.
The shop’s owner confirmed last night that Coffee Approach was put up for sale last week and would not be moving to another location.
