A charity named after one of greatest ever children's authors hosted a community event last week to celebrate moving into their new offices in Amersham in the centenary year of his birth.
Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity moved the HQ from Great Missenden, where the author spent many years and the museum in his name still stands, to Woodside Road.
The charity provides help for seriously ill children with a rare or undiagnosed medical condition, as well as their families.
The charity's Corporate Partnerships & Trusts Manager Clare Eynon said: “We are very excited about the opportunities the move to Amersham can bring for our charity and local businesses alike.
"We hope to build on our pre-existing partnerships and let the local and wider community know what we are planning in 2016 and beyond."
The charity, which has been going 25 years, held the event from 5-7pm on Thursday February 25 at its new offices in Montague House.
There are currently 53 Roald Dahl specialist children’s nurses in post caring for over 15,000 children in hospitals across the UK.
