Refurbishment plans are underway at a day care centre in Princes Risborough after thousands of pounds were donated.
The Princes Centre, in Clifford Road, provides day care services for people with mental health problems, physical and learning difficulties, as well as elderly people who come to the centre to socialise.
Money raised by organisations in the area, including Princes Risborough Evening Women's Institute, The Askett Society and St Dunstan's Church, will be used to fund essential maintenance work to keep the centre up and running.
New insulation and windows will be provided in the Peter Robinson room and a wheelchair lift is set to be installed to help disabled visitors get around the building with ease.
Staff at the centre have also raised £2,000 from bingo sessions and raffles to replace patio doors in the Lower Hall and provide a second-hand laptop to entertain residents.
