A vintage tea room in Princes Risborough is to stay open later by popular demand.
After a thriving four months in business, The Vintage Tea Room in Duke Street will now be open from 6.30pm until late from Tuesday to Saturday to celebrate their success with residents.
The 1930s themed tea room entertains diners with a baby grand piano and all staff wear traditional black and white outfits.
A range of evening meals will also be served from 6.30pm, where visitors can choose to dine on the likes of Camembert with cranberry sauce, Lamb Shank in mint and onion gravy and finish it off with a tuck shop ice cream cake.
Speen couple, Margaret and Danny Clifford, who have run the tea room since its opening in November, have also decided to hold tea dances every Thursday afternoon.
Residents can “step back in time” between 2pm and 5pm and enjoy a cream tea and a dance.
Mrs Clifford said: “We’ve had a lot of success since we opened so we want to stay open later. Most people in Princes Risborough are elderly so we thought it might be nice to start holding tea dances for them. I think it will go down really well with the community.”
