A heritage railway based in Chinnor is set to hold its spring gala day this weekend.

The Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway will welcome visitors on Sunday, April 26 to learn more about the entirely volunteer-run attraction.

Train enthusiasts can take a trip by steam or vintage diesel train throughout the day and then take a ride on a free London Routemaster to Chinnor Windmill.

The historic windmill, which is also run entirely by volunteers, will be open to the public throughout the day and visitors can clamber up inside the mill to learn more about it after their train experience.

Knowledgeable guides will be at the windmill between 10am and 5pm to share their facts and stories.

The free London Routemaster will run between Princes Risborough and Chinnor stations, calling at the Windmill along the way, giving visitors a unique chance to explore a historic mill, a vintage railway and take a classic bus ride all in one day.
