Nearly 250 residents braved windy conditions to remember loved ones at a charity ceremony in Princes Risborough which raised thousands of pounds this week.

The Princes Risborough Tree of Light Dedication Ceremony was held on Sunday November 29 with the service being led by James Tomkins, vicar of St Dunstan's Monks Risborough.

The lights were switched on by town mayor Alan Turner with the service raising almost £5,000 and bringing the total amount over recent years to in excess of £30,000.

The annual event is organised by the Rotary Club of Princes Risborough to collect funds for Rennie Grove Hospice Care and Rotary charities.

Dedications are displayed prominently close to the tree, which will remain lit until the end of December.
