An earthquake hit Chinnor and Thame last night, which shook houses and buildings across south Buckinghamshire.
Worried residents took to social media following last night’s unexpected tremor, which the British Geological Survey this morning confirmed was a magnitude 2.3 earthquake.
The earthquake struck Thame at 11.12pm, with residents in Chinnor, Princes Risborough and Stokenchurch reporting feeling the ground shake.
The depth of the earthquake was shallow at just 5km, according to the BGS.
