Police are urging witnesses to a crash between a car and bus that left an elderly man with serious injuries to come forward. 

The 81-year-old man was travelling in a black Ford B-Max on Bell Street, Princes Risborough at around 2.10pm on Wednesday, when the car was involved in a crash with a bus. 

He was airlifted to the John Radcliffe Hospital with serious injuries, which are not thought to be life-threatening. 

Police are now appealing for people who saw the crash to come forward with information. 

Investigating officer PC John Belson from the Joint Operations Unit for Roads Policing, said: "We would like anyone who may have seen this collision to come forward and to assist us with our enquiries.

"Anyone with information should contact Thames Valley Police's 24-hour enquiry centre on 101".
