Midfielder to make debut in friendly

CHESHAM United will be trying out some fresh faces in a friendly at Billericay tonight.

Midfielder Martell Powell has signed on a month's loan from Maidenhead, and the Generals will also run the rule over two trialists.

There is a possibility that Chesham will also freshen up their squad by bringing in a few young players from professional clubs.

Manager Andy Leese said: "We've been talking about it for a few weeks and we need to do it now.

"Martel gives us a bit of quality and pace and creativity in midfield."
