McGleish signs for Generals

FORMER Wanderers striker Scott McGleish has signed for Chesham United.

He played a trial game against Billericay Town last week before completing the switch this weekend.

Leese said: "Scott was playing professional football until the end of last season and in a fantastic career he scored almost 250 goals in over 600 games for Charlton, Wycombe, Barnet and Northampton amongst others.

"He is in good shape as we saw in the midweek friendly at Billericay,and keen to carry on playing at 38.

"We have done well to secure his signature, and his experience and character will be a huge benefit in the dressing room.

"I appreciate the backing of the chairman and the board in allowing us to add Scott to the squad."
