Bucks driver rises to international test

KART racer Callum Croxon finished 23rd following an explosive performance on the continent.

Battling engine-failure, a pile-up in the heats, and a spin-off that sent him flying into a tyre-wall, the 13 year-old from Marlow enjoyed mixed fortunes at the International Easykart Finals at Castelleto, Italy.

A first-lap incident involving several karts forced Croxon’s early retirement from heat two of qualification, which left him floundering on the grid.

Although a fightback in the championship race saw him climb into a tussle for eighth place, a spin-off ended his hopes of a top ten finish.

Croxon looks to make good use of his experience in next year’s UK Series.
