DAI Young might have mixed emotions tomorrow night with his son Thomas named in the Cardiff Blues squad.

The Wasps chief said: “In an ideal world it would be a good win for Wasps and my son Man of the Match. I’d settle for that.

“I was actually expecting him to be starting but he’s on the bench so he’s a bit disappointed.

“But I’m sure he’ll get some game time. I’ve coached him in the past so it will be a little bit different to coach against him, but it won’t be that strange. I’m used to being around rugby with him.”

Tonight’s match will be special for Young for another reason too.

He said: “I was there for 16 years so it was a big chunk of my life. It’s a club that is quite dear to me, but I’m still going there to win.

“As soon as we kick off everything will be forgotten.”
