WASPS kept their LV Cup hopes alive in what was for them essentially a knock-out match with Worcester.
Defeat would have ended their interest in the competition after just two matches, but three tries and an examplary kicking display from third-choice fly-half Tommy Bell underpinned a crucial 28-19 win.
Simon McIntyre, Jack Wallace and Charlie Davies scored the tries that keeps Wasps’ interests alive ahead of pool games with Leicester and Sale in the new year.
Director of rugby Dai Young said: “If we’d have lost we’d have needed a miracle to go through.
“It’s pretty much all on the last two games now and we’re in with a shout.”
