OLYMPIC gold medal winner Katherine Grainger has refused to rule out a bid for her second gold in Rio in 2016.
The Marlow rower ended an Olympic career of near-misses when she added gold in London to silvers won in the previous three Games.
And now it seems the 37-year-old nominee for Sports Personality of the Year has the gold bug.
She said: “I’ll have to see what happens next, and I’m taking one day at a time just now and not planning too far ahead.
“But I’m certainly not burning my bridges and deciding that I won’t be at the next Olympics.
“I’m looking forward to getting back in a boat in 2013 and making a fresh start. The last few months have been fabulous, but I think it is almost time to move forward, not keep looking back.”
