GOALKEEPER Matt Ingram will stay on loan at non-league Oxford City until the end of the season, Wycombe Wanderers have announced today.
The 18-year-old glovesman has kept five clean sheets in the nine matches he’s played for the Conference North outfit since joining them on loan from Blues in October.
That deal has now been extended until the end of the season, although Wanderers still have the option of recalling the teenager at 24 hours’ notice.
The former John Hampden Grammar School pupil was called up to an England training camp in 2010 but is yet to make his full debut for Wanderers despite being included in the first team squad on occasions.
Blues boss Gareth Ainsworth is keen to send his younger players out on loan to give them a taste of first team football, having said previously that competitive game time is more important to their development than sitting on the bench or playing for the reserves.
