Wasps win shows 'how far we've come'

Hugo Southwell congratulates Chris Bell after his late try
WASPS looked like they were heading for the rocks after 20 minutes against Bath yesterday, but a run of wins has inbued them with belief and gradually they turned the ship around before finishing with the wind in the sails to record a ninth straight Wycombe win this season.
Captain Hugo Southwell said: “The first 20 minutes wasn’t our best of the season. We made the errors that got Bath into the game and errors came on top of errors.
“But we managed to control those going into the second period of the first half and the timing of the try at the end of the first half was key to where the game went from there.
“We got stronger in the second half and the last 60 was very positive.
“It just shows how far we’ve come as a team. Earlier on in the season it might not have been the same.
“But the last five minutes sums us up as a team. It was a big thing for us not to let them get that bonus point and we held them out.”
