KADEEM Harris was on the wrong end of a cup upset as he finally made his Cardiff City debut on Saturday.

The 19-year-old winger left Wycombe Wanderers towards the end of the last January transfer window for an undisclosed fee but has had to wait for almost a full year to play for the Welsh side.

And it ended in embarrassing fashion as the Championship leaders were dumped out of the FA Cup by non-league Macclesfield Town.

Harris played for 64 minutes before being substituted and tweeted afterwards: "Very disappointed with the result and my performance but on the plus side, happy to make my debut and fans were excellent #GreatSupport."

Cardiff boss Malky Mackay was criticised for changing the entire starting eleven from their last match, a 1-0 win at Birmingham City, but he was still able to call upon the services of Joe Lewis - who was called up to the full England squad in 2008 - and the experienced Kevin McNaughton and Stephen McPhail.

Another former Wanderer, midfielder Kieran Murtagh, played the full 90 minutes for Macc as striker Matthew Barnes-Homer scored a late brace as the Silkmen came from behind to win 2-1.
