THEY might already be in the Amlin Challenge Cup quarter-finals, but Wasps aren’t taking tomorrow night’s trip to Newport-Gwent Dragons lightly.

The black and golds booked their place in the last eight with their 71-7 win over Mogliano last weekend, but they need to finish their qualifying group on a high to be sure a home tie in April.

Director of rugby Dai Young said: “Whatever happened wouldn’t have changed our focus going into Thursday.

“We’ve got to go to Newport and win if we want a home draw.

“That’s our focus and we know it’s going to be a lot tougher down there.

“Nobody knows better than me how difficult it is going to Rodney Parade and how much they love spoiling the party.

“Many teams have gone there expecting an easy party and many people have come away with egg on their faces.

“They’re a very dogged team and they play for each other.

“We’ve got to go there and get the result. You’re always going to get a tough game in the quarter-final, but we’ll be much more confident playing at home.”
