OLYMPIC medal winner Beth Storry says she would love to return to live in Marlow again after picking up an award to recognise her success last summer.

The Great Britain hockey team goalkeeper, part of the side that won bronze at London 2012, was given a special gong from Marlow Town Council.

She was unable to be at the official awards evening in November, when fellow medallists Naomi Riches and Greg Searle, picked up the awards.

So, she dropped back to the riverside town from her new home in Holland just before the New Year to collect it from Marlow Hockey Club's Graham Sweet and Mayor Jocelyn Towns.

Speaking to the MFP this week, Storry said it was special to get an award from the people of Marlow.

" Receiving the award from Marlow Town Council is a lovely recognition and support from the community we live in," she said.

"It was a nice round-up of the year we have had.

"I lived in Marlow for the past two years, until I moved to Holland in December and I absolutely loved it.

"I am from Reading originally, so I would consider that home, as that is where my parents live, but I have some wonderful memories of my time in Marlow, and if I were to return to the UK, I would love to live in Marlow again."
