MARYSE Haynes will cap a superb start to the cross-country season when she represents England U20s for the first time later this month.
The Windsor, Slough, Eton and Hounslow AC star, below, will wear the colours for an international event in Spain on February 16.
Haynes’ call up follows a blistering start to 2013.
She kicked off the year by winning her first cross-country title and then flew to Antrim to represent the South of England at the Cross Challenge Series, where she finished fourth, with two England squad members directly behind her.
Coach Alan Hewson said: “This is fitting reward for an athlete who has been so dedicated, so committed to improving herself through sheer hard work and determination.
“She has moved up through the rankings over the past five years in a steady and positive manner.
“She made her first breakthrough last year with a bronze medal winning run in the English Schools in the Steeplechase.
“Now she can look forward to the future with optimism and the prospect of much more to come.”
