CHESHAM United will line up against their former captain on Saturday when they go to Hemel Hempstead Town in the Southern Premier League.
Danny Talbot left the Generals in November, against their wishes.
He had been club captain for the past three seasons and had played 262 times for the before his departure.
Manager Andy Leese said: “I’ve not spoken to him at all. He’s moved on and I’ve no idea if he’s playing or not.”
Leese instead of focusing on his own players after they returned to action last weekend with a disappointed 3-1 loss at Gosport Borough.
James Potten was their goalscorer after 40 minutes, but Chesham were already behind by then and conceded twice more afterwards.
After three wins in a row and five games unbeaten, the result brought their mini revival to a shuddering halt.
Leese said: “It was very disappointing considering the run we’d been on, but we didn’t perform.
“I could tell after five minutes that we weren’t right. We’re fine talking the talk but when we got out there we were a different proposition.”
Their chance to bounce back at Bashley on Tuesday was called off because of a water-logged pitch – it was the fifth game out of the last six they’ve lost to the weather.
Leese said: “It’s frustrating and disruptive. We’ve got a backlog now but I’ve got no problems with the games called off.
“No one wants to play a game when it’s a lottery.
