GARETH Ainsworth doesn't want tomorrow to be a case of after the Lord Mayor's show as he looks for Wanderers to build on Monday's win at Gillingham.

It was their eighth victory in 12 games and Ainsworth wants his men to keep their focus as they face struggling York City at Adams Park.

The Blues boss said: "The big thing now is keeping everyone on the floor. We don't want after the Lord Mayor's show syndrome here because we've got a big game on Saturday.

"The Gillingham result will be even better if we can back it up on Saturday and that's what I'll be saying to the boys. They wouldn't be professional footballers if they weren't willing to kick on now and learn more and go again."

York have only won one of their last eight to slide down to 18th in the table but Ainsworth has warned against complacency.

The Minstermen's last three away games have all ended in draws but they have all been against teams gunning for promotion, with City sharing the spoils with Gillingham, Cheltenham and Fleetwood.

And Ainsworth said: "York are decent away from home. They've got a good away record and slipped up at home recently. They've slipped down the table so they'll be fighting to get away from there.

"[Top scorer] Jason Walker up front is a handful. He's a good player."

City boss Gary Mills will be without former Wanderers loanee Ashley Chambers, Michael Coulson and full back Lanre Oyebanjo - who fractured his skull at Gillingham a fortnight ago - while Chris Doig, who featured as a trialist for Blues last pre-season, is also set to miss out.
