ALEX Feaver sent a chill down the spines of the Chinnor faithful with one of the best debuts ever seen at the club.

The striker signed from Hellenic League Division One East rivals Chalfont Wasps at the end of January, and made himself into an instant hero with five goals on his first start – including a 15-minute hat-trick in the first half.

Chinnor went on to beat Milton United 9-2, with Jamie Essex (2), Daniel Stone and Stuart Braun also on target.

Club stalwart Richard Carr said: “We’ve been looking for an out and out goal scoring striker and without putting any pressure on him, Alex could be the answer.”

The win moved Chinnor up to third ahead of Saturday's trip to ThatchamTown Reserves.

Carr said: “Confidence is high in the team. The squad and players are getting better all the time.

“We’re still looking to get a couple more players in before the season ends and the signs are looking promising on at least two more new comers this week.”
