A ST Josephs School pupil has been tipped to make karting history by a former British Touring Car star.
Nine-year-old Brooke Childs is tearing up the track with her club Rye House and after finishing fifth in their club championships is now leading the way in the Comer Class category.
She has also been invited onto the All Star Team and her coach Luke Hines believes she could emerge as the best female driver in the class.
The former BTC driver said: “I’ve worked with Brooke over the past year and I’ve been very impressed with her performance so far.
“It’s great to have more females in the sport. If Brooke shows determination and passion every time she’s in the kart and if she keeps up with her progress she could definitely make history as the most competitive female cadet driver.
“I feel with more experience under her belt she will be the one to watch for the future.”
