BEACONSFIELD completed a magnificent week by climbing into the Southern League Division One Central play-off positions.

Having beaten MK Dons 3-0 in the semi-final of the Berks and Bucks Cup, they followed up with a 1-0 win over Royston on Saturday before adding and a 3-1 home win over Daventry on Monday.

Those results saw them climb above Royston into fifth place before Saturday’s trip to Barton Rovers.

Meanwhile, Chalfont St Peter heaped further misery on the team with the probably worst record in senior football on Saturday.

They won 7-1 against Woodford to condemn their opponents to a 27th defeat in 27 league games this season.

Saints also pushed Woodford’s goals against tally into three figures with the win, taking it from 99 to 106 conceded.

Daryl Atkins scored a hat-trick in the romp, with Adam Louth, Aaron McLeish, Michael Lewis and Terrell Lewis also on target.
