BEACONSFIELD RFC expect to find out tonight if they will be awarded the points for a postponed match at Basildon last week.

The London club were due to host Beaconsfield in London 1 North, but called the game off because of a frozen pitch.

However, as the game had already been postponed the onus was on Basildon to find a suitable replacement pitch.

Beaconsfield's ground was playable but Basildon declined to travel.

Both sides are scrapping against relegation near the foot of the table.

Meanwhile, Beaconsfield lost 30-22 at Luton on Saturday.

Head coach Allan Greene said: "We scored three tries apiece but we missed a few kicks and they got theirs.

"Their kicker had a boot on him and had a good day, but it's a shame not to even get a point when we both scored three tries."
