BEACONSFIELD goalball star Anna Tipton has urged Paralympic hopefuls to follow her example and make a bid for the Rio Games in 2016.
Tipton starred for GB in London last summer, top-scoring for the womens’ team, and is now encouraging other goalball hopefuls to get involved by attending a talent-spotting day in Aston on March 23.
Tipton said: “We all started at talent ID days and progressed through the ranks to make it to London 2012.
“It is all about giving the sport a go and seeing where you can get.
“There will be top level coaching on hand and, even if you haven’t played before, it could be the start of a great journey that leads to Rio.”
