WASPS chief executive Nick Eastwood says the club will be able to announce new investment shortly.

It’s understood the new investors, believed to be from Ireland, have already been putting money into the club and Wasps hope to make it official in the near future.

Eastwood said: “I am pleased to say we are in a much more positive place financially and though there is a lot of hard work ahead, we are moving forward very well and are have satisfyingly begun to make real headway in clearing a lot of outstanding debt.

“We will also soon be in a position to talk about new investment in the club. Our progress on this front has also been very positive and we are working towards finalising and announcing this as soon as we can.”

Meanwhile, Wasps are preparing to release new season-ticket packages tailored to suit their fans.

The club has just completed an extensive supporter survey and based on those findings is putting together a new season-ticket offer which it hopes will result in major boost in attendances.

Eastwood said: “We are well down the road in preparing for what I hope will be the most thorough, detailed and professional season ticket offer ever produced by the club.”
