Season of setbacks continues for Wycombe

On the brink: High Wycombe RFC On the brink: High Wycombe RFC

HIGH Wycombe RFC are now 20 points from safety with just four games left after another home hammering in South West One East at the weekend.

They crumpled to a 69-10 defeat to second-placed Old Centralians and although there is still the slightest of slight mathematical chance of survival, that will end if they fail to beat Reading next weekend.

In the same division Marlow drew their second game in a row. They held Newbury Blues to a 25-25 score after their game with Bletchely the previous week finished 27-27.

Elsewhere, Amersham & Chiltern claimed their first top-four scalp of the season as they beat Newton Abbot 34-21 in National League 3 South West while Beaconsfield did their cause the power of good in London 1 North with a 27-0 whitewash of Rochford Hundred.

What has happened at HWRUFC? I remember them in League 3 . So sad to see a club go down like this. Past members must be turning in their graves.
