Chesham within striking distance of Southern League play-offs

TOBY Little scored his second winning goal in just over two weeks as Chesham United won again last night.

They beat promotion rivals Arlesey Town 1-0, with Little's goal after a minute making it eight games without defeat as they continue their 11th hour charge towards the Southern League play-offs.

They are now just two places out of the play-offs, although they still have five points to make up on Gosport Borough and six on Weymouth, who have played a game more.

However, on paper Chesham's run-in looks sympathetic. Apart from a trip to Weymouth on March 23, they don't play anyone else in the top half of the table.

On Saturday they host Bedworth.
