LUKE Thomas, Fiona Shaw and Liam Jones will test themselves against the best swimmers in the country later this summer after qualifying for the national championships.
The Wycombe and District Swimming Club stars hit the qualifying standards at the recent regional championships.
Luke Thomas has qualified for the 400m individual medley with his time of 4:42.98, which was good enough for third place.
He was also third in the 200m butterfly and 200m individual medley.
Meanwhile, Shaw has made the national time in the 400m freestyle and open water events, but was also just 0.6 seconds outside of another qualification time in 100m freestyle and 0.2 seconds away in the 50m freestyle.
Jones will race in the 100m and 200m backstroke after times of 1:01.04 and 2:17.19 that were good enough for fifth and sixth respectively in the regionals.
Connor Lewis was so close to joining them at the nationals, missing out narrowly in the 100m and 200m butterfly events.
The results represent a significant step up from last year for the club, when they didn’t have anyone qualify.
