WYCOMBE and District Swimming Club are second in the Milton Keynes and District Junior Swimming League after winning round one last weekend.

They edged out Teddington by a single point to sit second in the overall table.

Head coach Kevin Brooks said: “The Milton Keynes League is the premier junior league in the area with a place in the national finals going to the top two.

“We’re second out of 18 so far after beating Teddington, who were second last year.

“They beat us by 60 points then so it’s been a remarkable turnaround.”

Among their winners were Cameron Brooker, Danielle Kidd, Timur Gulyiyen, Laura Shea, Naveesha Karunanayaka, Tom Sansome, Ciara Connick-Linley, Kathryn Reid, Andrew Au, Henry Clark and Josie Searle.
