Freiderichs inspires Thames Valley leaders
AMERSHAM CC remain on course for promotion to the Home Counties League after maintaining their lead on top of the Thames Valley League with another comfortable victory.
They beat Eversley to remain 14 points clear of Finchampstead, who beat Beaconsfield at the weekend.
Meanwhile, Chesham dropped off the pace with defeat to High Wycombe 2s.
Bruce Freiderichs was the match-winner for Amersham with a stunning knock of 129 not out in their score of 259-2.
In reply, Eversley were knocked over for just 129 with Alex Lines taking a hat-trick.
Elsewhere, captain Ollie Turner hit 53 for Chesham but it wasn't enough as they were dismissed for 189 chasing Wycombe 2's 213-5, while Beaconsfield (172-8) were unable to do their neighbours a favour by slowing down Finchampstead (173-4).
There are just three games left this season, with Amersham going to High Wycombe 2's next Saturday.
