Six of the best for revived Chesham
LIFE looks a whole lot better for Chesham United this morning after two wins in fours days.
One point from the first six available in the Southern Premier League meant the Generals were left in their blocks at the start of the new season, but successive Bank Holiday wins over Stourbridge and St Albans City have moved Andy Leese's men into the top half.
They won 3-2 at Stourbridge on Saturday thanks to goals from Mark Lambert, Inih Effiong and James Potten, and Effoing netted again in yesterday's 1-0 win over St Albans.
Meanwhile in Division One West, Marlow lost 2-1 at Uxbridge on Saturday and then beat Ashford 2-1 yesterday while Chalfont St Peter lost to Dunstable Town (1-0) and drew with Potters Bar (1-1).
Beaconsfield continued their fine start with a 3-1 win over Slough yesterday after they suffered a 4-0 reverse at Barton on Saturday.
