Wanderers matchday bus services to be cancelled
MATCHDAY bus services to Adams Park are to be scrapped as they are not financially viable.
The Cressex park and ride scheme and a bus route from Chesham will both cease operation after Wanderers' home match with York City on Saturday September 21.
The club is looking at other options to help transport fans to Adams Park.
In a statement the club said: "The numbers that use the park and ride from Cressex and Chesham bus route do not support the level of expenditure incurred by the club and the operator.
"At present the services are unsustainable and whilst the club has attempted to trial them again this season, it is once again proving unviable.
"On top of a discount for car sharing which is already in place, the club is looking into several other options to transport fans to and from Adams Park on a matchday.
"Supporters are invited to ask questions and discuss the issue in the room at the back left of the Vere Suite, known as the Fair Play Suite, before Saturday’s game with Southend United."
